Wilma N. Petrosino, 82, of Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Sunday morning March 25, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family by her side.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, on October 8, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Alice Flannagan Amberger.
Wilma was a graduate of St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam and Albany Business College in Albany,
Wilma was employed as a secretary at Boss-Linco Lines of Amsterdam and many years at the Amsterdam Recorder
.
Wilma was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam.
She is survived by her loving husband, of sixty-one years, Daniel J. Petrosino to whom she was married to on June 30, 1951. Her children, Donna (Larry) Borwhat of Fort Johnson, NY; Dale A. Petrosino of Amsterdam, NY; Daniel J. Petrosino (Patti) of Amsterdam, NY and Diane Bellinger of Ballston Lake, NY; One sister, Inez Sears of Winter Haven, FL. Six grandchildren, Danielle Bach (Steve), Jay Borwhat (Jessica), Ashli Kerr (Bryan), John Daniel Kerr, Jessica MacMeekin (Trevor) and C.J. Bellinger. Five great grandchildren, Tyler and Kaylee Borwhat, Collin, Aidan and Alexandra Wilma Kerr, two devoted nieces, Jo-Ann Vidulich and Vicki Sollecito, other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Wilma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was lovingly known as Bubba to her family and friends.
Wilma was predeceased by her brother, Donald William Amberger at the age of eighteen, who was killed in action during the Korean Conflict, five sisters, Jean Ripple, Therese Vidulich, Veronica Vidulich, Katherine Amberger and Margaret Grandchamp.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY; followed at 9:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at St. Mary’ Church 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson. NY

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the Riley Mortuary.
