Thomas N. Taylor

Thomas N. Taylor, 34, of Glen Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at home after a short illness.

Born in Amsterdam, on September 3, 1986, he is the son of Brian “Rip” Taylor and Julie Williams Thomas.

Tom received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

At the time of his death, he was a chef at Lanzi’s Lakeside Tavern and Marina in Mayfield, NY.

Tom was an avid bowler and loved the water and cooking. He was a diehard Atlanta Braves and New England Patriots fan, and will be missed by family and his many friends.

Tom is also survived by his brother, Joseph Taylor of Saratoga Springs, NY; his grandmother, Betty Taylor of Dillon, SC; his stepfather Ken Thomas, stepbrother, Kenneth Thomas, stepsister, Samantha Thomas all of Amsterdam, aunt, Maribeth Osborn and husband, Jeff and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, where a brief prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.

Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady, NY.
