Theresa Mancini

Theresa I. Mancini, 87, of 45 Park Street, Amsterdam, New York, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning August 7, 2013 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam with her loving family by her side.

Born in Amsterdam on May 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Amelia Mezzano Luciano.

Theresa received her education in the Amsterdam school system.

Theresa was a homemaker and also assisted her husband, Americo at Beeline Lunch in Amsterdam.

Theresa was a former parishioner and communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church and currently at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam.

Her husband, Americo Mancini to whom she married December 10, 1944 survives her at home. Theresa is also survived by one son, Michael Mancini (Jackie) of Perth, NY; two daughters, Suzanne Testo (Paul) of Clifton Park, New York and Diane Jankowski (Jim) of Broadalbin, New York, seven grandchildren, David, Steven, Jessica, Ashley, Amelia, Angela and Amanda, nine great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:45 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, New York, followed at 11:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, New York.

Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam.

Calling hours are Friday morning from 9 to 10:45 at the Riley Mortuary.
