Terrance E. Mahoney

Terrance E. Mahoney, 90 of Amsterdam, NY passed away February 7, 2023 at Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam

Born in Amsterdam on May 13, 1932, he was the son of Joseph and Margaret Noonan Mahoney

Terry was a graduate of St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam.

He retired from St. Mary’s Hospital, where he was a security officer for many years.

Terry was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church.in Amsterdam.

He was married to Betty Lou McClary Mahoney on October 17, 1954. Sadly, Betty Lou passed away on February 1, 2023

Terry is survived by one son, Terrance Mahoney (Marianne), six daughters, Elizabeth Austin, Maggie Nolan, Susan Grasso (Scott), Mary Funkhouser, Shannon Hoogkamp (William) and Heather Mendez (Jason) his sister, Margaret Garrick,fourteen grandchildren, Tara Drenzek, Colleen Conway, Jason Austin, Jennifer Goodwin, Kelly Nolan, Danielle Grasso, Emily Sempf, Ryan Mahoney, Riley Mahoney, Dean Greenwood, Katie Sulo, Isabella Bloss, Juliana Bloss and Nick Bloss.six beloved great grandchildren and nieces and nephews

In addition to his wife, Terrance was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Drenzek, his infant brother, Charles Mahoney and sons in law Al Drenzek and Edward Austin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:15 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, followed at 11:00 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam with Fr. Juanito Asprec as celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30, prior to the funeral service at the Riley Mortuary.
