Tammy Lynn Brownell

Tammy Lynn Brownell, 52 of Galway passed away on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at St. Mary’s hospital with her family by her side.

Born on May 28, 1969 in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. Murray and Sandra Ann (Craig) Murray.

Tammy was a dedicated employee of Amsterdam Printing for nearly 20 years. She was known for her sense of humor, practical jokes and fun loving spirit. She loved nothing more than to make those around her laugh. She could often be found at Stewart’s drinking an iced coffee and playing the lottery or doing scratch offs.

She was an avid bingo player and liked to play cards with family. Tammy was always asked to be the DJ at family events thanks to her wide variety in music taste. She had a great love for animals; she enjoyed feeding the birds and watching all of the wildlife at her home in Galway.

She is survived by her husband Raymond D. Brownell Jr. who she married on August 22, 1992; two daughters Jessica Gray and Amanda Brownell; one sister Becky Gray (Larry) and three brothers Joseph Murray (Sandy), Leon Murray (Michelle) and Richard Murray (Michelle); mother-in-law Marilyn Abele; sister-in-laws Tammy Mickan and Vicky Aquilone (Patrick); brother-in-law Nelson Brownell (Michele) and several beloved nieces and nephews as well as her spoiled lap dog Gus.

In addition to her parents Tammy was predeceased by her sister-in-law Cindy Murray.

At her request there will be no services conducted. In lieu of flowers her family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Fulton County Regional SPCA-NY, 117 W.
