Sylvia A. Sollecito

Sylvia A. Sollecito, 85, of Truax Road, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at home.

Born in Amsterdam, September 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wiliam and Catherine Mazur Walczyk.

Sylvia received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a homemaker.

Her husband, Pasquale “Pat” Sollecito who she married July 27, 1957, passed away March 26, 1992.

Sylvia was also predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Burroughs and her twin sibling at birth.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Karen Sollecito Newkirk of Tribes Hill, NY; one brother, William Walczyk and one sister, Joan Falcone both of the state of Florida, seven grandchildren, Kelli, Kirstyn and Katie Newkirk, Mark, Brandi, Patrick and Jessica Burroughs and two great grandchildren, Theo Locke and Beau Burroughs. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

All services are at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Hagaman, NY.
