Summer Penny

Summer Penny, 14, of Island Road, Esperance, NY, passed away Wednesday evening September 2, 2015 at Albany Medical Center from injuries she sustained in a car accident on Route 30 in the Town of Duanesburg.

Born in Gloversville, NY, on July 10, 2001 she was the daughter of Randolph Penny who survives and Vanessa M. Young Cohn who also passed away in the accident.

Summer was a student at Duanesburg Central School.

Summer is also survived by her stepfather, R. Jeremiah A. Cohn Sr., one brother, Ryan Young, two sisters, Zoey and Cloe Cohn, three stepsisters, Lacy, Brittany and Shanya Cohn, three uncles, Ray Ray, Michael and Kyle Young, four aunts, Monica Stanton (Kit), Angel Poyfair, Jessica and Tamara Young her maternal grandmother, Betty Ann Brockhum, paternal grandparents Raymond and Kelly Young, maternal great grandmother, Betty Meyers, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.

Cremation will follow at Park View Crematory, Schenectady, NY.

Calling hours are from 9 to 11 prior to the services at the Riley Mortuary.
