Sharon L. Falcigno, 80, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, March 26, 2024 surrounded by her dear family and friends.
Born in Amsterdam on October 20, 1943, Sharon was a daughter of the late Daniel Patitucci and Mary Wells
After graduating from Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School, Sharon worked in Schenectady as waitress at Veruttos and as a commercial window cleaner for T.J.B. Sunshine.
Sharon enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba. She loved her casinos and spending time with her family and friends happily reminiscing about old times.
Sharon was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church and member of the Horace J. Inman Senior Center of Amsterdam.
Sharon is survived by her son, Martin (Jessica) Falcigno of Indiana; cherished best friend Eileen Oakes of Amsterdam; sisters Edna Scarofile of Amsterdam and Mary Ann (Kurt) Gardinier of Ballston Spa; grandchildren Mallory (Mark) Riggs and Bryar Falcigno,
Indiana, many nieces, nephews,cousins, dear friends including Basillia Mendez, “Lewie” and several friends from Amen Place Soup Kitchen.
She is predeceased by her former husband Angelo Falcigno, sister Roberta Sinicropi and brothers in-law Carmen J. Sinicropi and Peter Scarofile.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sharon’s family Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY.
Sharon’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Amsterdam, NY.
The Rite of Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY immediately following the Mass.
Memorial gifts in Sharon’s name may be made to either of the following: Veterans Time to Thrive, PO Box 756, the Horace J. Inman Senior Center, 53 Guy Park Park Ave., or Amen Place Soup Kitchen 105 Guy Park Avenue all of Amsterdam, NY 12010.
