Rose M. Roginski, 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday September 24, 2024.
Born in Amsterdam on April 28, 1929, Rose was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Marotta Rossetti.
She was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School, Class of '47.
On November 9, 1952, Rose was united in marriage to Richard N. “Pat” Roginski at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam. Richard passed away February 14, 2014.
Rose was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and cafeteria aide with the Amsterdam School District at Academy Street School and R.J. McNulty Elementary School.
Rose was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of Mt. Carmel Seniors, Mt. Carmel Christian Women, and Ladies of Charity. She enjoyed attending her family’s youth and high school sporting events and over the years has followed Siena Basketball and the New York Mets.
Rose is survived by her sons, Rick A. (Cindy) Roginski of Clifton Park, NY; Alexander R. (Deborah) Roginski of Amsterdam, NY; Thomas J. (Maria) Roginski of Chevy Chase, MD; her loving daughter, Barbara (James) Partyka of Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren: Kimberly (Michael) Ogborn, Richard (Derek) Roginski, Ryan T. (Aaron) Rockmore, Daniel A.Roginski, Michael O. Roginski, Michael J. (Natalie) Partyka, Kristy (Wayne) McGuire and Linda (Nathan) Flottum, cherished great-grandchildren: Molly G. and Madelyn K. Ogborn, Raymond J. Partyka, Nora Rose , Millie J. and Lucy A. Flottum, sister, Carol A. (Alfred) Iannotti, sister in-law, Mary Ellen Rosetti, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and husband, Rose is preceded in passing by her brothers, Giulio Rosetti and PFC Andrew W. Rosetti Jr. USMC, KIA, Korea, 1952.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rose’s family Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John St., Amsterdam, NY. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 pm.
The Rite of Committal will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY immediately following the Mass.
