Rocco Minasi

Rocco Minasi, 79 of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at home.

Born in Amsterdam on July 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Allesi Minasi.

He received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch senior High School.

Rocco was an honorably discharged United States Navy veteran, serving with the Amphibious Construction Battalion Two from November 10, 1959 to July 26, 1963.

Rocco was the owner of Riteway Home Improvement in Amsterdam, NY.

Rocco is survived by one son Rocco Minasi of Plattsburgh, NY; one daughter, Veronica Minasi of Amsterdam, NY, two sisters, Roberta Iwanski and Nancy Bush (William) all of Amsterdam, two granddaughters, Sophia and Isabella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and his lifelong companion, Diane Morin of Amsterdam.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, March 21, 2022 form 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 where a funeral service will follow with Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating.

Interment after the funeral service will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Amsterdam.
