Roberta J. Fitzgerald

Roberta J. “Robin” Fitzgerald (Farrell), 69, of Evelyn Avenue, Amsterdam, New York passed away peacefully May 10, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Amsterdam on January 3, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Farrell and Charlotte J. Farrell (Smith).

Robin received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. She was an active chorus member and sang on stage with Dinah Shore at a SPAC special event.

Robin was the President/Owner of New World Title Services, Inc.in Albany since May 2008. Prior to business ownership, she was a Title Officer at New Century Abstract in Albany for 10 years. She also worked at the O’Connell and Aronowitz law firm in Albany for several years.

Robin is survived by her longtime companion Frank Raco, and her brother, Brian H. Farrell (Carla) both of Amsterdam. Nieces, nephews and her brother-in-law, Timothy Dumblewski of Amsterdam also survive. Robin was also predeceased by her sister, Sharon M. Dumblewski (Farrell).

Robin was an avid reader, excellent cook/baker, and cat lover. She had the gift of gab, a strong spirit, a wicked sense of humor, and a kind/generous heart. She treasured free time relaxing by her pool on a nice sunny summer day. In younger years, Robin loved traveling to Cape Cod whenever time allowed – sometimes on a weekly basis. We hope she will be witnessing a nightly gorgeous Rock Harbor sunset while tasting the salt of the sea.

It was Robin’s request that no calling hours or services are to be held.
