Robert Kaiser

Robert C. Kaiser, 85, of Evelyn Avenue Amsterdam, New York and a former six year resident of Killarney, Ireland, passed away Monday afternoon June 14, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, New York.

Born in Amsterdam, New York on July 22, 1924, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Stanley Kaiser.

Bob received his education at St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam.

He was employed as a steamfitter with Local # 7 in Albany, New York.

Bob was a United States Navy veteran of World War II serving aboard the U.S.S. CURTISS AV-4 from 1943 to 1945.

Bob was also a member of the Irish American Club in Amsterdam.

Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn "Lynn" Cordone Kaiser at home, three sons, Robert F. Kaiser of Amsterdam, Thomas J. Kaiser of Schenectady, NY; and Peter J. Kaiser of Stratford, CT. two stepdaughters, Sharon Larkin of Washington,D.C. and Denise Fabozzi of Johnson City, TN. One brother, James Kaiser, two sisters, Elizabeth Reynolds and Mary Jane Kelly. Nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, New York 12010.

Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium in Schenectady, NY.

Calling are Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 prior to the service at the mortuary.
