Town of Pittstown----It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul M. Ryder on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Born in Albany, NY on August 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Lester and Jane Smith Ryder.

Paul received his education and graduated from the Albany catholic school system.

After graduating from high school, Paul fulfilled his dream of becoming an iron worker and worked with Local Union 12 out of Albany, NY. He travelled throughout the country to work on various bridges, hospitals and historic buildings, including Epcot Center.

Paul loved gardening, bird watching and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Jean Feeny Ryder who Paul married August 31, 2000, one son, Jason Ryder, step daughters, Jaymie Dames, Racheal Franzen (John), Melissa Dames (Peter), his grandchildren, Aiden Ellman, Laila Baum, John Emil Franzen V (Jack), Andrea Lawyer (Sean), Aaron Mitchell (Mackenzie), a special nephew, Lester Ryder and numerous friends.

Paul was also predeceased by two brothers, Lester Ryder Jr. and David Ryder.

To accommodate Paul’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later time.

There are no calling hours.
