Monica Treis

Monica G. Treis, 93, passed away Thursday December 20, 2012 at Riverview Manor Healthcare Center in Owego, NY.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on June 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Connolly Whalen.

Monica received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a homemaker.

Her husband, John N. Treis passed away in 1955 and her daughter, Monica G. Sharp passed away in 2008.
Monica is survived by her daughter, Mary “Pat” Treis of Apalachin NY, one grandson David J. Sharp (Lisa) and one great grandson, William Sharp. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 111 Third Avenue Tribes Hill, NY.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.


Friends are invited to call at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 prior to the services.
