Milda Zemaitis

Milda Zemaitis, 91, formerly of Amsterdam, NY, passed away Tuesday morning July 31, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Milda in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Born in Kaunas, Lithuania on October 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Karolis and Sophia Kalvaitis Bervingas. Milda, her husband and their two children immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1949.
Milda was employed at the Amsterdam Glove Company for many years.

She was a parishioner of St. Casimir’s Church in Amsterdam, NY; and a member of the American Lithuanian Club.

Her husband, Joseph Zemaitis, passed away in 1986.

Milda is survived by one son, Leo Zemaitis of Amsterdam, one daughter, Milda Carroll of Saratoga, Springs, NY,.one brother, Harald Bervingas of Germany, two grandchildren, Keir Zemaitis and Sasha Lemery and three great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service at the Chapel at St. Casimir’s Cemetery on Thursday morning August 9, 2012 at 11:30.

Cremation was held at Parkview Crematory in Schenectady, NY.
