Michael S. Burroughs

Michael S. Burroughs, 61 of Scotia, NY; passed away Wednesday May 13, 2020 at home.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on May 30, 1958, he is the son of the late Stanley C. Burroughs and Genevieve B. Frye Chichester.

Mike received his education in the Fonda-Fultonville Central school system.

He was last employed at Adirondack Express in Amsterdam.

Mike was an honorably discharged United States Army veteran, serving from 1976 to 1979.

Mike was also predeceased by his wife, Lynn Sollecito Burroughs and sister, Lorraine Stewart.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Burroughs (Darcie) of Northville, NY and Patrick Burroughs of Amsterdam, two daughters, Jessica and Brandi Burroughs both of Scotia, two sisters, Marie Fariello (Mike) of Amsterdam and Joann Burroughs Uhlig (Paul) of Tribes Hill, NY and one brother, Douglas Burroughs (Bonita) of Northville, NY. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill.
