Michael Pelosi

Michael J. Pelosi, 73, of Schmidt Street, Tribes Hill, NY; passed away Monday morning January 18, 2016 at home.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Aldi Pelosi.


Mike was a graduate of Fonda Fultonville High School.

Mike was employed as a Deputy Sheriff for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department for 37 years. He also worked security at the Montgomery County Office Building.

Mike was an honorably discharged United States Army veteran serving his country in Vietnam. After being discharged, he served with the 109th Airlift Wing, New York, ANG in Scotia, NY.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kathleen Boice Pelosi at home, two daughters, Jolisa Pelosi of Johnstown and Shana Pelosi of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one grandson, Adryan Pelosi of Johnstown and five extended grandchildren, Stacy, Joey, Kaden, Maria and Lisa.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

A prayer service for the family will be held prior to calling hours.

Interment will take place this spring at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
