Mary V. Flint, 85, of McElwain Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away peacefully Tuesday morning February 27, 2018 with her loving family by her side, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Irene Nolan Case.
Mary received her education and graduated from St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren’s sporting events throughout the years.
Mary was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam.
Mary was married to Robert J. Flint on October 6, 1956. He predeceased her on October 23, 1996.
Mary was also predeceased by her son, Thomas “Flick” Flint on October 26, 2012 and her brother, Richard Case on February 4, 2016.
Mary is survived by one son, Matthew Flint (Regina) of Amsterdam, five daughters, Linda Flint (Stuart) of North Plainfield, NJ; Kathleen Reilly (Tim) of Latham, NY; Sharon Murray (Jim) of Middletown, CT; Maria Kowalczyk and Nancy Pabis both of Amsterdam, two sisters, Marjorie Jackson and Elizabeth “Betty” Terwilliger both of Amsterdam, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning March 3, 2018 at 10:30 at the Riley, Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, 12010, followed at 11:00 by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church 156 east Main Street, Amsterdam, with Rev. Jeffrey L’Arche, M.S. officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
