Mary Patricia Russo

Mary Patricia Hughes Russo, 88, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away Wednesday morning June 13, 2018 St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam on May 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Agnes Seward Hughes.

Mary Pat received her education and graduated from St. Mary’s Institute in Amsterdam.

Mary Pat retired as a clerical worker from St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam.

Mary Pat was married to John L. Russo on August 13, 1949. He passed away on March 19, 1993.
Mary Pat was also predeceased by her son, Edward W. Russo on November 8, 2017 and a brother, Edward William Hughes on September 5, 2009.

Mary Pat is survived by one son, James V. Russo (Marcia) and one daughter, Ann Nadler (Allan) all of Hagaman, NY; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two cousins, Ann Keiley and William Seward and daughter-in-law, Kim Wallace Russo.

Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY, followed at 11:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
