Margie E. Green

Margie E. Green, 78, of Virginia Lane, Amsterdam, NY; died Friday July 15, 2022 at home.

Born in Ogdensburg, NY on September 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Marjorie E. Sheets Green.

Margie retired from Coleco Industries and was a homemaker.

She married Elwyn H. “Al” Green on April 1, 1960. Al predeceased her on June 16, 2019.

Margie is survived by two sons, Elwyn H “Hoopie” Green Jr., of Perth, NY and Lyle Green (Patricia) of Amsterdam, three daughters, Leila Green of Amsterdam, Lisa Newkirk (Douglas Rose) of Schenectady, NY; and Melissa Green Coupas (Christopher) of Amsterdam, ten grandchildren, Jason, T.J; Ricky and Joshua Green, Kimberly and Keith Newkirk, Robert Wells IV, Sean Wells, Allen Hart, and Katie Furman, and four great grandchildren, Frank Tyler Alvarez, Maddie Alverez, Logan Newkirk and Myla Wells..Nieces and nephews also survive.

Margie was also predeceased by a grandson, Justin Wells and son-in-law, Robert A. Shields

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 Tuesday July 19,2022 from 4 to 7 P.M..

Funeral services will be private.
