Margaret R. Mattas

Margaret R. Mattas, 87, of Amsterdam passed away peacefully on November 1, 2022.

She was born in Amsterdam on September 28, 1935 to the late Stephen and Margaret Yacobucci.

Margaret was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School retired from New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

Her husband, David J. Mattas, whom she married on December 20, 1955, passed away October 9, 2020.

Margaret is survived by her three sons, David, Christopher (Rose), and Randy (Kathy): goddaughter, Stephanie Bellinger: grandchildren, Lynn (Jeff) Parker, Christopher Mattas, Matt Mattas, Rebecca Shufelt, Amanda Shufelt and Nicholas Mattas; great-grandchildren , William Mattas, Cheyann, Jeffrey and Carson Parker; great-great-grandchildren, Zander, Zena, Jayden, Caleb, Levi and Zyra; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
