Margaret Mead-Zeppieri

Margaret A. Zeppieri, 59 of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday afternoon, January 29, 2011at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.

Born in Amsterdam, NY; on April 25, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William and Olga Persico Mead.

Margaret received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School. Margaret also attended Maria College in Albany, NY.

Margaret was employed as a secretary at the laboratory at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, retiring in 2003.

Margaret was a parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Mead (Nancy) of Amsterdam, NY; and her significant other, Richard Herskowitz. Aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Margaret was also predeceased by two sons, Albert and Thomas Zeppieri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY; followed at 9:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial, Which will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 Saint John Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM., at the mortuary.
