Mae Post

Mae Post, 92, of Ridge Road, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday morning February 5, 2015 at Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam.

Born in the Town of Colonie on June 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Wagoner James.

Mae received her education in the Berne-Knox school system and was employed as a Motor Route Driver for the Leader Herald in Gloversville, until her retirement.

Mae enjoyed NASCAR, Stockcar Racing at Fonda Speedway, baseball, knitting, crocheting, crafts and going to the casinos.

Her husband, Charles L. Post, whom she married December 9, 1941, passed away June 11, 2003.

Mae is survived by one son, Robert J. Post (Debera) of Guilderland, NY; and one daughter, Melissa Ross (James) of Amsterdam, her granddaughter, Megan Ross and her great grandson, Anthony Baldwin. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Mae was predeceased by one brother, John James and two sisters, Alice Ostrander and Irene Barber.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Interment will take place at Perth Cemetery in the spring.
