Leonor Vidal (Blanchfield), 81, of Pepperbush Place, Ballston Spa, Town of Malta, passed away Thursday morning May 19, 2011 at home, with her loving family by her side.
Born in San Nicholas, Argentina on July 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Amelia Jimenez Vidal.
Leonor received her education in Argentina and subsequently became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Leonor was employed at the Stratton Albany Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany, New York until her retirement.
Leonorl is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Murphy (Tom) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Christine Sainato ( Edward) of Amsterdam, New York. Two sons, Timothy M. Blanchfield (Edna) of Saugerties, New York and Daniel J. Blanchfield of Saratoga Springs, New York, One sister, Blanca Hoffman and one brother, Alberto Vidal both of Argentina, her son-in-law, Dave Ivers of Greenfield Center, New York, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Mrs. Vidal was also predeceased by her daughter, Mary Lou Blanchfield Ivers. Her late husband, James D. Blanchfield. One of ten siblings, Mrs. Vidal was predeceased by seven of her brothers and sisters.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
