Karen Lee Horton

Karen Lee Horton, 78, of Ridge Road, Town of Broadalbin, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam.

Karen was born in Amsterdam, NY November 28, 1945 to the late James and Edith Weiss Martin.

Karen attended Broadalbin High School and was a receptionist at the dental office of Margaret Lindsay, DDS, Broadalbin.

She had a great love for her family and her dogs. She especially enjoyed music and dancing, camping, quilting, cooking and gardening.

Karen is the beloved wife of Dennis Horton whom she married August 19, 1983, sister of James (Jean) Martin, Ronald ((Sandra) Martin, JoAnne (Thomas, deceased) Loucks, Bette (Bruce) Davison, and Susan Williams. Nieces and nephews also survive. Karen also leaves her very dear friend of over 60 years, Sandi Bornt Jackson.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Karen’s family Monday, October 21, 2024 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery immediately following visitation.
