Julie Ann Jenick, 76, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away at home on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Julie was born in Amsterdam on September 9, 1947, to the late William and Florence Prussien Jenick.

Julie received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a 1966 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and went on to retire as a chef at the Montgomery County Infirmary in Amsterdam. 

One of the highlights of Julie's life was attending the first Beatles concert at Shea Stadium on August 15, 1965. Julie won a ticket to attend the concert on a local radio station contest by sending in 100 postcards. Julie loved to cook and was proud of her license plate “BESTCOOK”. She also enjoyed listening to the Beatles and the company of her feline companion, Missy.

Julie is survived by her brother, Paul Jenick, nephew, Christopher “Cody” (Kristin) Jenick and many friends including her 1966 classmates from Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School.

Friends are invited to call at the Riley Mortuary, Inc.,110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m with a funeral home service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam.
