Judith D Ludwin

Judith D. Ludwin, 77, of Mergner Road, Fort Johnson, NY; passed away Friday morning July 19, 2019 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Born in Amsterdam April 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Kathryn Cavaliere Martuscello.

Judy received her education in the Amsterdam school system, and was a 1960 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

After graduating, Judy was one of several on the reunion committee that was instrumental in coordinating and organizing past events, and will be greatly missed.

Judy also held the position of past president of the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Judy was a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond M. Ludwin, four children, Kathy (Colleen), Michael (Sherrie), Matthew (Robin) and Jason (Charlotte), eight grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Adam, Cheyenne, Tara, Cody, Jeanie and Summer. Twelve great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Judy.

Judy was also predeceased by her brother, John Martuscelllo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2019 at 12:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with Rev. Jeffrey L’Arche, M.S. officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Riley Mortuary from 10:30 to 12:30 prior to the funeral service.
