Joseph C. Fritz

Joseph C. Fritz Jr., 72, of Dunlap Road, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday April 16, 2020 at Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Julia Kozlowski Fritz Sr.

Joe received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

Joe was an honorably discharged United States Navy veteran, serving from 1966 to 1970.

Joe retired as a floor manager from Super Steel Schenectady in Glenville, NY.

Joe is survived by one son, Joseph C. Fritz III (Kate) of Amsterdam, three daughters, Amanda Senese of Northville, NY; Tammy Courtney (William) of Perth, NY; and Jennifer Fritz of Amsterdam, four grandchildren, Shelby, Emily, Jack and Julia, one sister, Debbie Scoggin (Tom) and sister-in-law, Janet Fritz. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Joe was also predeceased by one sister, Valerie Bernaski and one brother, Jack Fritz.

Cremation was held at Park View crematorium in Schenectady, NY.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
