Jennifer Lynn Dufresne, 44, of McCleary Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Monday evening December 14, 2015 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA.

Born in Amsterdam, NY, on September 4, 1971, she was the daughter of Gene and Yvetta Hayes Tryon.

Jennifer received her education in the Fonda Fultonville School District and received her Associate’s Degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY.

Jennifer was employed at Ellis Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist for Continuum Services of Syracuse, NY.

Along with her parents, Jennifer is survived by her husband, Sean Dufresne, brothers and sister in law, aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dog, Chloe. Jennifer was predeceased by her grandparents, Clifford and Lena Hayes and John and Catherine Tryon.

Jennifer was a past president of the Port Jackson Bocce League in Amsterdam.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning December 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Interment will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, NY.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary.
