Jeanne Marie Mancini Shaw, 54, of St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Friday morning August 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Amsterdam on June 3, 1964, she is the daughter of Albert and MaryJane Petrosino Mancini.
Jeanne received her education at St. Mary’s Institute and graduated from Amsterdam High School. She also graduated from Cazenovia College with a B.A. in Business.
Jeanne was employed at St. Mary’s Healthcare in the Third Party Billing Department.
Jeanne was a parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam and an advocate for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Besides her parents, Jeanne is survived by her husband, Alfred “J.R.” Shaw, one son Zachary Shaw and his companion, Kay Kambe of Amsterdam, two brothers, Christopher Mancini (Carolyn) of Saratoga Springs, NY; and Paul Mancini of Shirley, MA; two sisters, Anne Church (Craig) and Megan Eglin (Kenneth) all of Broadalbin, NY; nieces and nephews, Ainslie and Sean Ressel, Jahna Church, Ethan Church, Adam, William, Olivia, Nico and Antonio Mancini, Christopher Albert and Stella Louise Eglin, brothers and sisters in law, Dawn Morin, David and Shelly Shaw, Debbie and Robert Vail, Sharon and Cye Bintz and Kelly and Bob Motyl. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Calling hours are Tuesday August 28, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 9:15, with Fr. Lawrence Decker officiating, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 39 St John Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Jeanne’s name may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Center of Northeastern New York, 1182 Troy-Schenectady Road, Suite 203, Latham, NY 12110 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
