Janet M. Sievert

Janet M. Sievert, 81, passed away November 1, 2024 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Janet was born in Charleston Four Corners, NY, to the daughter of the late Percy and Anna Selick Tallmadge.

Janet was employed at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, William T. Sievert in 2012 and her grandson, Richard Carpenter.

She is survived by her son, Paul Slansky (Laura) of Fort Hunter, NY; her daughter, Patty Bedell of Fultonville, NY; a stepson, William T. Sievert, two stepdaughters, Yvonne Lenz and Wendy Stewart, four grandchildren, Danny Bedell, Erek Bedell, Brandon Stark and Brian Carpenter. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Cremation took place at Park View Crematory in Schenectady.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation which will be held at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, 12010, Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
