James Karutis

James "Jim" Karutis, 68, of Fultonville, NY passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam.

Jim was born in Amsterdam on March 30, 1956 to the late Robert J. and Ruth Capala Karutis.

Jim  graduated with Bishop Scully High School Class of '74 and went on to enjoy a successful career in computer networking architecture. He retired from Cisco Technology Company as a senior network analyst. .

Jim is survived by his favorite daughter, Laura Beth Karutis of Amsterdam, his brother, Robert "Bo" Karutis (Jean) of Bar Harbor, Maine, his adored grandson Rossco Henderson who knew Jim as “Papa K”, nieces, great nephews and his partner Carol O’Brien.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in passing by his brother, Paul Karutis.

Friends are invited to a visit with Jim’s family on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

It was Jim’s request that no funeral services be held.
