James J. Crisalli Jr. 75, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Born in Amsterdam on April 9, 1948, he was the son of the late James J. and Lillian Kellogg Crisalli Sr.
Jim received his education in the Amsterdam school system and graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School. He also received his Associates Degree in Business from Fulton Montgomery Community College.
Jim was employed by the City of Amsterdam as working foreman at Amsterdam City Hall.
He was well known as the lead singer for Collectors Item Band and for playing Santa Claus at City Hall events and wherever he was needed.
Jim is survived by his wife, Deborah Posluszny Crisalli whom he married September 25, 1982, two sons, Michael Crisalli of Herndon, VA; and James J. Crisalli III (Allison) of Ephratah, NY; two daughters Lauren Michelle Cruz (Rolando) of Glendale, NY and Victoria Intelsano (Mike) of Pattersonville, NY; four sisters, Frances, JoAnn, Georgianna and Paulette, six grandchildren, Caleb Virola, Michael J. Crisalli, Olivia Cruz, Aleksandra Cruz and Oscar Crisalli. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with the Rev Neal Longe Officiating.
Calling hours are prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Memorial gifts in James’s name may be made to Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
