James P. Halvey III, 53, of Columbia Street, Utica, NY, passed away Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, after an accidental fall.
Born in Amsterdam on December 23, 1960, he was the son of the late James P. and Joan A. Costello Halvey Jr.
Jimmy received his education in the Amsterdam school system.
He was last employed as a tow truck driver for Altieri’s Auto Inc., in Amsterdam.
Jimmy is survived by two daughters, Brittany and Brianna Halvey of Amsterdam, NY, four sisters, Margaret Aison (Howard) of Amsterdam, Nancy Halvey-Facci, (Mark) of Tulsa, OK, Eileen Halvey of Santa Cruz, CA, and Elizabeth Halvey of Ashville, NC., one nephew, Jacob Aison, three nieces, Sarah Aison, Ann Facci and Christina Facci and the mother of his children, Karen Halvey. An aunt and cousins also survive Jimmy.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
