Isabelle H. Orante, 85, of Mohawk Place, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Tuesday morning May 24, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.

Born in Manhattan, New York on May 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Slonska Rajkowski.

Isabelle received her education in the New York City school system.

She was the owner and President of Eljoor Inc., interior decorators of Amsterdam.

Her husband, Matthew M. Orante to whom she was married on November 27, 1943 (Thanksgiving Day), passed away on August 29, 2008.

Isabelle is survived by her sister, Ladislaus Harow of West Deptford, NJ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service for Isabelle will be held at the Chapel at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY; at a time and date to be announced.
