Hilary M. Lewis

Hilary M. Lewis, 67, of Galway, NY and formerly of Amsterdam, NY; passed away Thursday June 17, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Born in Amsterdam on September 1, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Thelma M. McGuire Anthony.

Hilary received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

Hilary was last employed as a visiting nurse throughout the area.

Her husband Paul R. Lewis passed away March 15, 1993. Hilary is survived by her son, Paul R. Lewis Jr. of Galway, one brother Richard E. Anthony Jr. of Broadalbin, NY; two sisters, Christine Ingals (John) of Tampa, FL; and Leslie Fortier (Joe) of Fort Hunter, NY; several nieces and nephews, brothers and sister-in-law and her special friend, Darlene Bornt.

Hilary was also predeceased by three sisters, Mary Elizabeth LaMori, Margaret Steele and Pamela Walker.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering, Monday June 21, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Hilary’s name may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 139 S. Lake Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
