Gene R. Insogna, 56, of Della Valle Drive, Perth, NY; passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on June 11, 1959, he was the son of the late Gino R. Insogna and is the son of Florence Allen Insogna who survives.
Gene was a 1977 graduate of Perth Central School and received his associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Fulton Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY. Gene also studied at the University of Southern Florida in Tampa, FL.
Gene was employed as a sales representative for several different paper companies. Gene was the recipient of numerous Sales Achievement Awards.
He had an adventurous spirit, and during the course of his journey, lived in several states from the Rocky Mountains in Aspen, CO; to the Florida shores of the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Gene enjoyed tennis, skiing and jet skiing. He was a huge N.Y. Yankees and N.Y Giants fan.
Along with his mother, Gene is survived by his fiancée, Linda Campolo, two stepchildren that he thought of as his own, Michelle (John) Moricone and Ricardo Rizzo, two granddaughters, he also thought of as his own, Liliana and Emily Moricone. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be private.
There are no calling hours.
Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
