Gary Dudka

Gary R. Dudka, Sr. 73, of State Highway 30, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday, January 25, 2017 at Fulton County RHCF in Gloversville, NY.

Born on January 2, 1944 in Sioux Falls, S.D., he was the son of the late Andrew and Frances Kondrat Dudka.

Gary received his education in the Perth Central School District and also attended R.P.I. in Troy, NY.

He was the former owner of Dudka’s Garage in Amsterdam, NY.

Gary was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam. He was also past president of the Saratoga Horseman’s Association.

Gary is survived by his wife, Donna L. Sobkowicz, his former wife, Francine Freer Dudka, his sons, Mark A. Dudka (Don), Paul C. Dudka (Lori), Scott A. Dudka, two stepsons, Mark Mancini and Jeff Mancini (Liz) and six grandchildren.


Gary was also predeceased by his son, Gary R. Dudka Jr., and his second wife, Geri Kowalski Dudka.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday March 6, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at the Riley Mortuary Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Cremation was held at Park View Crematorium in Schenectady, NY and final interment of cremains will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam,

Memorial gifts in Gary’s Name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205.
