Frank Raco

Frank A. Raco, 82, of Evelyn Avenue, Amsterdam, NY: passed away peacefully at home on Sunday , September 29, 2024.

Born in Amsterdam on July 21, 1942, Frank was the son of the late Alphonse “Measles” and Helen Miller Raco.

Frank was a lifelong city resident whose family owned Pink & Rock’s Tavern on East Main Street in Amsterdam. He graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School and and worked for the City of Amsterdam until retiring as wastewater treatment plant operator. He was an avid golfer and member of the Arthur Carter Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.

He is survived by his children, Marc Raco of Amsterdam and Tami Raco-Mungenast of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren, Hannah (husband, Colton) Breslawski of Conroe, TX and Julia Mungenast of Rochester, NY; and great-grandson Dawson James Breslawski, brother, Ronald “Rick” Raco and predeceased by by his brother Robert Raco. He has many cousins, nieces and nephews

All are invited to visit with  Frank’s family on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Riley Mortuary, Inc. 110 Division St, Amsterdam NY from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.  Frank will be interred at Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam alongside his girlfriend, the late Robin Fitzgerald. A reception will immediately follow at Russo's Grill, 365 West Main Street, Amsterdam, NY.
