Frances Radigan

Frances Radigan, 101, formerly of Jackson Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Sunday morning July 20, 2014 at Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility in Amsterdam.

Born in Gonzalez, TX; she was the daughter of the late John and Fannie Brubaker Radigan.

Frances moved to Amsterdam from Texas as a young woman with her aunt Katie Radigan to be closer to other members of the family who were already here. She is predeceased by her sister, Alice Radigan who passed away at a young age.

Francis had many life-long friends, including Ruth Page (also deceased0. Fran's cousin, Mary Louise Chenault Dado also relocated to Amsterdam from Texas and they were as close as sisters for the rest of their lives. A cousin Thomas Radigan survives

Frances received her education in the Texas school system.

Frances was employed at the State Bank of Albany, working in Amsterdam and then Albany for over forty years.

She was member of the First Baptist Church in Amsterdam.

Frances is survived by her nieces, Nancy and her husband, Gary Capel and Darlene and her husband, David Reichard and their families.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam.

There are no calling hours.
