Evelyn M. Warner

Evelyn M. Warner, 96, of Union Street, Broadalbin, NY; passed away Thursday morning August 29, 2019 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, St. Johnsville, NY.

Born in Mayfield, NY on February 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Maggie House Whitman.

Evelyn received her education, and was in the first graduating class from Mayfield Central School. She also went to Albany Business School.

Evelyn retired from General Electric where she was a secretary. She also was a hair stylist and model in her younger years.

Evelyn was also a longtime member of the Gloversville Moose Lodge.

Evelyn was married to Donald D. Warner Sr., on October 21, 1956. Don passed away on September 26, 2015. Evelyn is survived by her grandson, Clint Warner of Broadalbin, NY, three great grandchildren, stepson, Donald Warner Jr., three step grandchildren, six nieces, three nephews and many great nieces and nephews,.

Evelyn was also predeceased by a son, Gary Warner and a sister, Elizabeth Loveless.

Calling hours is Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., with Pastor Nate Peterson from the Adirondack Baptist Church officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Pauline Kawczak’s house, 144 Pinetree Way, Gloversville, NY after the service.
