Edna Mckenna

Edna McKenna, 84, of the Town of Rotterdam, passed away Tuesday afternoon February 28, 2017 at Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY.

Born in St. Albans Queen’s New York on November 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ewald and Emma Mohring Andersen.

Edna graduated from Baldwin High School in Baldwin, Long Island, NY.

Edna retired as Postal Clerk from the Lake Pleasant, NY Post Office in Hamilton County.

Her husband R Gilbert McKenna passed away on July 27, 1995.

Edna is survived by one son, Timothy McKenna of Ocoee, FL; two daughters, Janis Herrington of Scotia, NY and Maureen McKenna of Rotterdam, NY; four grandchildren, Eric and Patrick Herrington and Robert and Kathrine McKenna. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Edna was also predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Edward Andersen and one sister, Margaret Fay.
Cremation was held at Park View Crematorium. Final inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY and private at Edna’s request.
