Doris Aldi

Doris E. Aldi, 90, of 35 Wall Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Sunday morning December 8, 2013 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam, New York on January 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lucinda Stephens Lovejoy.

Doris received her education in the Amsterdam school system. She was employed at the former Amsterdam Memorial Hospital in housekeeping for several years, retiring in 1983.Doris was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Horace J. Inman Senior Citizens Center and the Valley Heritage Association.

Doris is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was held at Parkview Crematory in Schenectady, New York.

There are no calling hours.

Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam.

A memorial service will be held, and announced at a later time and date.

Memorial gifts in Doris’s name may be made to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church 37 Division Street., Amsterdam, New York.
