Donald J. Fabozzi
Born on January 11, 1932 and raised in Amsterdam, NY. He was raised one of seven children born to Helen and Albert Fabozzi. He is predeceased by his wife of 14 years, Janice Fabozzi. Donald is survived by his children, DJ (Ann) Fabozzi, Jeffrey (Peggy) Fabozzi, Elizabeth Burek (the late Mark Burek), and Joanna (Kevin) Sesny, Gwen (David) Belcher, James (Kandy) Girmindl and Stacey Grimindl. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Rocco Fabozzi, Joshua, Jessica and Jenna Fabozzi, Reese and Riley Burek, Katie, Avery and Chloe Sesny and four step grandchildren. Many relatives and friends also survive.
Donald was an honorably discharged Veteran of the United State Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict between 1951 and 1955. He went on to Lincoln Chiropractic College where he graduated in 1959. Dr. Fabozzi had a strong attachment to his hometown and opened a practice a month after graduating. After 36 years of serving his community as the town’s only chiropractor, he retired so that he could spend more time with his family. Dr. Fabozzi eventually moved to Rochester, NY and was integral in raising his grandchildren Reese and Riley.
Dr. Fabozzi’s patriotism and service was a value that he instilled in his children and grandchildren. His son, Jeffrey is a Marine, son DJ, graduated the Naval Post Graduate School, daughter Elizabeth serves the Veteran community in Monroe County as a Project Director for Veterans Court and grandson, Reese now attends the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Dr. Fabozzi was an adventurer at heart. He loved to travel, and ski and go to the track. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kirkhaven Nursing Home in Rochester, NY.
