Chester S. Sajdak

Chester S. Sajdak, 91, of State Highway 30., Amsterdam, NY passed away at home, Friday, October 4, 2024

Chester was born in Amsterdam on May 5, 1933 to the late John and Rose Cebula Sajdak.

He was an owner of Sajdak Brothers Dairy Farm in the Town of Florida

Chet served honorably with the United States Army from 1955 to 1957 during the Korean Conflict and continued his military service with the United States Army Reserve from 1957 to 1963.

Chet was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam.

On November 14, 1964, he was united in marriage to June L. Becker Sajdak who preceded Chet in passing on January 9, 2020.

Chet is survived by his son Gregory Moore of Glenville, NY; his son-in-law, Robert Tatlock, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Chet was also predeceased by his daughter, Jill Tatlock, six sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 8, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, followed at 11:00 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church, 50 Cornell Street, Amsterdam with the Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:15 prior to the service at the Riley Mortuary.

Interment will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Chet’s name may be made to St. Stanislaus Church or Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 NY-5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
