Benjamin Rose

Benjamin M. Rose Sr., 64 of Reed Hill Road, Fultonville, NY, passed away Friday April 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY.

Born February 1, 1953 in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Anna May Schichler Rose.

Ben received his education in the Fonda-Fultonville school system.

Ben was employed at Anderson Instruments in the Town of Glen.

Ben is survived by his wife Carol Phillips Rose who he married April 29, 1972, one son, Benjamin M. Rose Jr., (Heather) of Randall, NY; two daughters, Katherine Marie Rose-Hayes (John) of Johnstown, NY and Tracy Cranker (James) also of Randall, NY; four sisters, Laurie LaVoie, Peggy Carpenter, Gwen Hutchins and Pam Manchester (Dan), eight grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Carolyn, Jonathan, Allison, Brodie, Tyler and Kylie. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Ben was also predeceased by one brother, Joseph Rose, three sisters, Jenny Costanzo, Tina Rose and Penny Rose, one granddaughter, Alyssa Rose and his pet dog, Gabbie.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside memorial service Saturday May 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, NY.

Memorial gifts in Ben’s Name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
