Barbara A. Lynch

Barbara A. (nee Wallin) Lynch, 74, formerly of Amsterdam, NY; was taken from us unexpectedly on February 27, 2018 in Middlebury VT.

Born in Amsterdam, on August 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Francis “Chip” and Freda Kormanek Wallin.

Barb grew up among many loving cousins in Amsterdam. She made her home in St Paul after graduating from St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN. She spent time working for IBM before staying home while her children were young. She later returned to work at the University of St. Thomas library and finally retired to Middlebury, VT. She thoroughly enjoyed the small town of Middlebury and spoke highly of all the people she interacted with around the community.

Barb spent her time volunteering for Neat Repeats and enjoyed gardening, sharing stories with neighbors and building friendships.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kerri (Jody), Kathleen Glusick (Dan) and Kevin (Michelle) and the father of her children, William P. Lynch. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Madison, Billy and Emily Glusick.
Barb was also predeceased by her brother, Bruce Wallin.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:15 at St. Mary’s Church 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam.
