Antoinette Villa

Amsterdam---Antoinette C. Friello Villa, 88, of Florida Ave., Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2011 at River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam, NY.

Born July 23, 1923 in Amsterdam, NY; she was the daughter of the late Giacomo and Nancy Ruggiero Friello.

She received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School.

Antoinette was employed as a seamstress for Martin Jay Dress Shop in Amsterdam.

Antoinette was a parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam.

Antoinette is survived by her husband, Mario H. Villa, to whom she was married on December 10, 1950, one daughter, Adeline Villa Joyce of Amsterdam, two sons, Michael Villa and his wife Patty of Saratoga Springs, NY and Dominick Villa and his partner Donna Birch of Amsterdam, NY; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen DeMaria, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A brother Dominick Friello also predeceased Antoinette.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9:15 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 29 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam,
