Antimo “Andrew “ M. Iannotti, 85, of Florida Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday afternoon May 28, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Amsterdam on February 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Antimo and Mary Raiano Iannotti.

Andy received his education in the Amsterdam school system and retired as a truck driver from Boss-Linco Lines Inc., of Amsterdam. He was also affiliated with Andy’s Tavern on the Southside from 1978 to 1985.

Andy was an honorably discharged United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952 to 1954 and continued his service in the Army Reserves until 1961. Andy was a member of the Southside Veterans.

Andy was a parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Andy is survived by his wife, Marilyn Briggs Iannotti at home. They were united in marriage on March 15, 1952. He is also survived by one son, Andrew Iannotti (Mary) of Amsterdam, two daughters, Sandra Martuscello of Broadalbin, NY and Bonnie Babravich (Richard) also of Broadalbin, five grandchildren, Amanda Okosky (Bob), Andrew Iannotti (Bree), Michael Iannotti (Caitlin), Eddie and Joe Martuscello, one great granddaughter, Emma Iannotti and one great grandson, Jake Iannotti. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Andy was also predeceased by his loving family, five brothers, Ralph, Joe, Louie, Tony and Johnny Iannotti and four sisters, Rose Pasquariello, Madeline Porto, Lucy Miller and Edith Fonda.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, June 2, 2016 at 10:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY; followed at 11:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be concelebrated by Fr. Lawrence Decker and Fr. Pasqual Iannotti at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY.
Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam.

Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady, NY.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Memorial gifts in Andy’s name may be made to Montgomery County SPCA, SPCA Road, and P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, NY 12010, or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steel Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
