Annette M. Diamond

Annette M. Diamond of Dartmouth Street, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home.

Born in Seattle, WA, she was the daughter of the late Vincent A. and Ann McAtte Golden.

Annette received her education in the Seattle school system and Holy Rosary Girls Academy in Seattle.

She retired from Ward Products in Amsterdam in 1993.

Annette was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Healthcare and a member of C.S.J Associates Albany Province – Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet.

Annette was married to James Diamond on May 22, 1948. Mr. Diamond passed away on February 16, 1991.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Edward Golden and sister, Margaret Mary Loebsack.

Annette is survived by one daughter, Cathleen Myhre (Roy) of Amsterdam, NY; four sons, Dr Peter F. Diamond (Bridget) of Plymouth, PA; James P. Diamond (Monica) of Westlake Village, CA; Timothy J. Diamond (Kelly), and Dennis V. Diamond (Diane) all of Amsterdam, one sister, Rita C. Pietro of Austin, TX; Fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 1:30 at St. Mary’s Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY; with Rev. Jeffrey L’Arche, M.S. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:15 prior to the Mass at St. Mary’s Church.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Annette’s name may be made to Sister’s of St. Joseph Development Office, 385 Watervliet – Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110.
